Work

At the present time, I am working in the communications engineering department of the University of Málaga, as an assistant professor. I teach on networks and services to undergrads and mobile networks to master students. But I also teach seasonal courses on data analysis with Python and Linux in Fundación General de la UMA. I also do research on topics such as Mobile Network Applications, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence applied to Mobile Network management, etc.

Previously I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electronic Systems of the Aalborg University. There I learned about the power of Practice Based Learning, which made Aalborg University internationally recognized as a leader in engineering education. My work there was to develop a demo of 5G technologies, based on Software Defined Radio for the ONE5G European project.

In my career, I have had the opportunity of collaborating with Ericsson, Nokia-Bell Labs and other big players in the telecommunications market, as well as SME's such as BWTECH.

Between 2011 and 2012 I worked as a research assistant in robotics in the systems engineering department of the University of Málaga, where my main functions were developing and maintaining autonomous robots.
